「Life that unfolds」 川内倫子・潮田登久子

Presented by Japan House Sao Paulo
In collaboration with KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival

Japan House São Paulo in collaboration with KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, is pleased to present the exhibition, Life that unfolds.

The exhibition, a visual dialogue between Japanese photographers Rinko Kawauchi and Tokuko Ushioda, was held as part of the Main Program of KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival in 2024 under the title From Our Windows. Held at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, the exhibition garnered significant attention.

Continuing this momentum, the exhibition will travel to Brazil on the second floor of Japan House São Paulo from November 19, 2024 to April 13, 2025.

The series by Kawauchi and Ushioda showcases family moments within the intimate spaces of both photographers’ homes in Japan. Highlighting shared themes across two different generations, this dialogue invites visitors – regardless of origin or generation – to find connections to domestic spaces and family moments, sparking reflection on the evolving future of home and family.
