KYOTOGRAPHIE x Earth Day in KYOTO 2024 / Let’s think and take actions for the planet

In celebration of Earth Day in KYOTO, KYOTOGRAPHIE will host free kids workshops at our booth in Okazaki Park where you can make your own photo book and placard. These workshops are designed to encourage children to think and express their ideas about the environment and sustainability through the lens of photography and art, and engage with important issues in a fun and interactive way.

1. Kids parade: 14:00
The KYOTOGRAPHIE Kids Parade is back! In collaboration with Earth Day in KYOTO, we’re inviting everyone and anyone to join us as we celebrate the Earth and raise awareness about environmental issues together!

Participants may bring their own home-made signs or bring placards they’ve crafted in the morning at the KYOTOGRAPHIE Booth. Together we will parade, along the route of Okazaki Park, Red Otorii, Kyoto City Zoo, and back to Okazaki Park. The parade is open to families, friends, and parents.

2. Create an Earthday Placard 10:00–14:00
Fee: Free
Let's create a beautiful placard for the Earth Day in KYOTO parade using cardboard, washi paper and wooden sticks!

Sunday 12 May 10:00–16:00

Let's make a photobook with washi paper and origami
Fee: 500 yen

Using Kakimoto Japanese Paper, kids will create their own photo book.
(1 mini polaroid picture is included)
You can also bring your own pictures (L size) or add them later.
