In this talk, three key figures of the project "The Story of Yet Another Iranian Uprising" will discuss the collection of photos and videos from Le Monde, as well as the specific incident and general reality of life faced by Iranian women and men which gave birth to this exhibit. They will also address in detail the process of gathering said photos and videos from Iranian citizens, and of making them into the collection at hand.
Born in 1980 in Perpignan, has been photo editor at Le Monde since 2011.
Ghazal Golshiri (Journalist in the international department at Le Monde)
Born in 1981 in Tehran, has been a journalist in the international department of Le Monde since 2011, specialized in the Middle East.
Nicolas Jimenez (Director of Photoraphy at Le Monde)
Director of Photography, Le Monde (English/French)
Nicolas Jimenez is the director of photography of the French daily newspaper Le Monde. From 1999 to 2004 he worked, for the international festival of photojournalism Visa pour l'Image. In 2005, when Le Monde decided to become a major actor of the photo industry he became national photo editor until 2008, then the head of the photo department. Le Monde is now one of the three biggest photojournalism producer in french speaking press.
